Job Overview
We are actively seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with 3-5 years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic Engineering department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing meticulous aircraft inspections, diagnosing complex mechanical and electronic issues, scheduling and executing repairs, dismantling and reassembling aircraft components, and ensuring compliance with all FAA regulations and industry safety standards. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of both mechanical and electronic systems, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of aircraft safety and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Execute thorough inspections of aircraft engines, airframes, and associated components to maintain peak operational performance.
- Dismantle, repair, and reassemble aircraft engines and structures with precision and attention to detail.
- Install, test, and troubleshoot aircraft electrical circuits, electronic avionics, communication, and oxygen systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Perform scheduled routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and major overhauls in adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and modifications.
- Strictly enforce FAA safety regulations and company policies to uphold safety and compliance at all times.
- Oversee inventory management including ordering and tracking parts and supplies to support maintenance operations efficiently.
- Operate aircraft safely during maintenance checks and implement approved upgrades and modifications.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and safety departments to support continuous improvement initiatives and resolve maintenance challenges.
- Stay updated with the latest aviation technologies, maintenance procedures, and regulatory changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology, Aeronautical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Mandatory FAA certifications in Powerplant and Airframe Mechanics.
- Proven experience of 3-5 years as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or in a similar aviation maintenance role.
- Exceptional proficiency with maintenance tools including torque wrenches, speed handles, sheet metal rollers, drills, and specialized avionics testing equipment.
- Deep knowledge of FAA regulations, aviation safety protocols, and industry-standard maintenance practices.
- Strong physical dexterity and endurance, with outstanding attention to detail and manual precision.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex mechanical and electronic issues effectively.
- Superior communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environments.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and adapt to challenging environments including adverse weather conditions and confined spaces.
